Brenda is passionate about empowering individuals and driving organizational success through collaboration and innovative support strategies. She is also fluent in sign language and is currently working on her Masters Degree in Social Work.

Erik Palacios

Erik Palacios graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2017 with a bachelor’s in psychology. He is currently pursuing a master’s in counseling. In his free time, Mr. Palacios loves to spend time with family and serving the Lord Jesus. Mr. Palacios enjoys helping others learn about mental health and gives personal experiences for advice on working with the community.

Joanna Valenzuela

Joanna Valenzuela is a Park University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology. Ms. Valenzuela has years of experience advocating for those in vulnerable positions. In terms of her career, Joanna is looking for a challenge, where she can apply her skills and advance her education. Ms. Valenzuela’s motivation and demeanor make her an important asset to Atlantis Behavioral Health.

Juan Guerrero

Juan Guerrero is a dedicated case manager with over five years of experience in mental health case management services. Mr. Guerrero counts on exceptional organizational skills to help meet deadlines, provide community outreach services and/or crisis intervention services. Mr. Guerrero has passion for psychology and earned his master’s through Grand Canyon University to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Leila Moreno

Leila Moreno is a Senior Case Manager and Intern Therapist currently in her third year of the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling program at Webster University, Fort Bliss campus. Ms. Moreno is expected to graduate in May 2026 and is actively working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her academic and clinical interests center on working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health disorders, with an emphasis on trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care.

Mary Hardesty

Mary Hardesty is an experienced employee with years of community service under her résumé. Mary has earned a master’s in counseling clinical mental health, graduating late 2024. Her motivation to make an impact everyday aids in providing great care to her clients.

Monica Nevarez

Yajaira Tarango earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at El Paso in the summer of 2020 and also completed her masters degree in social work. Ms. Tarango has years of experience volunteering and providing aid to those with mental struggles. Her professionalism and great attitude create a positive atmosphere.

Marissa Chavez

Marissa Chavez currently works as a QMHP-CS Senior Case Manager. Ms. Chavez has earned a Bachelor of Human Services (BHS) degree and is actively pursuing her master’s degree in social work. Throughout her career, Marissa has been committed to supporting individuals and families by providing compassionate, client-centered services and advocating for access to needed resources. A professional goal of hers is to become a Licensed Social Worker, allowing herself to expand her impact and provide a higher level of care within the behavioral health field. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Chavez enjoys traveling as it allows her to explore new cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and maintain a healthy work–life balance.

Nubia Bonilla

Nubia Bonilla is an experienced case manager with a Bachelor of Science in Counselling acquired from New Mexico State University. Ms. Bonilla has worked as a case manager for a large portion of her career, developing her skills as an intern and continuing to do so. Ms. Bonilla provides customer-focused services with great attention to detail and motivation to learn every day.
